Ages 4-6

Kindergarten & Preparatory Programme

Our Kindergarten Programme helps children maneuver about their classroom with confidence, exploring concepts in arithmetic, reading and writing, geography, science, and daily life activities such as food preparation, gardening, sewing, and washing dishes. Children learn skills in grace and courtesy, respect classroom activities, and understand the importance of cleaning up after themselves.

The curriculum for our preparatory programme has been structured to foster the development of lifelong cognitive skills and to prepare children for formal schooling. In their third and final year, children participate in our Preparatory Programme, which focuses on core academic skills and essential school readiness abilities. This ensures they are well-prepared for a smooth transition to primary school, including fluency in reading and writing in Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.

Introducing the Kindergarten & Preparatory Programme

At The Montessori Academy, children aged four to six explore and discover in a vibrant environment tailored to their unique developmental needs. Our Kindergarten classroom encourages activity choices that foster independence, creativity, and critical thinking.

Through hands-on learning, children enhance problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. From the first day, our programmes build strong academic and emotional foundations, making learning both engaging and fun.

In their final preschool year, the Preparatory Programme focuses on core skills, ensuring a smooth transition to primary school.
